Cambrai Day 1968
Does anyone recall any celebration on 20 Nov 68? (Major Badman had departed the day before and May Vickers had just taken over.)

Hi Bruce
As you are probably aware, Cambrai Day fell during the course of 2 major operations - Iron Hand and Capital 2, so I doubt that there was a major parade.
Cheers

Re: Cambrai Day 1968
Thanks Barry,
I think A Squadron's effort was the only parade as such. Interestingly though, with two troops gathered at Nui Dat to line Luscombe Field on 19 Nov as the OC's plane took off...it was almost a parade in itself (pity about the blanks not being fired). I guess the only formal recognition of the Day might've been an exchange of greetings between C Sqn, TFHQ, RHQ, and RTR. But then again...maybe it went unheralded.
Notable, however, from Maj Badman's pov...he arrived home on Cambrai Day (which is also his daughter's birthday).
Cheers, Bruce
