Can anyone remember what the maximun range for the RMG was (Dot 5?) when establishing the range for an HE shoot?
Both an inf battalion official diary and a driver's personal diary record the engagement of a person(s) seen through a gunner's sight on Nui Nghe. The driver was obviously writing in his diary at the time..."person seen on feature and engaged with .50cal....add HE".
From the grid references, I think the range was about 3000m.
