			<description>Hans has asked on the  3 cav site if the Assn should consider national incorporation. It’s an idea that is worth some serious thought. I’ve done just that. 



At present I do not believe the Assn is in any way healthy enough to even consider that proposal. 



In looking at the idea of national incorporation, I would argue that the short answer is no.

			<description>I have a number of references which refer to Noel as a staff sergeant, but I also have a photo of him at Duc Thanh in which it appears that he is wearing WO2 rank.  (I also have a copy of a letter which refers to him as Warrant Officer Lowes.)



I know that the SSM was the only WO2 on the tank sqn estb and that the DVA Nominal Roll has him as a sgt.  I also know that the Nominal Roll has many errors in it.  Is it possible that he was promoted for the LO position at Duc Thanh?

About 1230hrs, a plane failed to pull out of a straffing run and flew straight into the Long Hais.  Can anyone help as to whether or not it was a jet aircraft?  The guys on the ARV saw the incident, so I'm hoping that others might have some recollection as to what type of plane it was.

IN hospitals around Australia, soldiers who have been seriously wounded in Afghanistan are checked in under false names in order to protect them from the public eye.



One Afghanistan veteran, in his early 20s, is in a private hospital in NSW. He has lost both his legs. The doctors and nurses treating him are sworn to secrecy. Were someone to ring the hospital's reception, asking for him by his real name, he would not exist.
