MILITARY SUPERANNUATION PENSIONS

Trevor :Thanks for your summary and data on the new proposed legislation. One of my concerns (my apologies if it is contained in your notes and attachments)apart from those you have highlighted, is the base from which these pensions are paid now and in the future (eg 5/8 to widows).
My understanding is that the Whitlam government raided all our DFRB funds and we are ,in fact, being paid out of consolidated revenue .Do we have a rock solid legislative surety that ,despite there being no funds in the scheme,we and our widows will continue to be paid our entitlements.
